But I hit a personal record in running! The last 5K I ran was before Ely was born and I ran in about 31 minutes. My goal for Sunday was to be in the 29 minute range and I came in at around 28:55! Yay me, Glory to God, whose Spirit is one of strength and ability! (2 Timothy 1:7)</p> <p>So Day 64 I started to catch up a little on my housework. I blessed the name of JW since he finally got me a razor to scrape the stovetop with. It was so rewarding to remove old food stains! I'm not done cleaning the burners but I made ok progress.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-LzlhiR0Z32U/T1bd-zp2yHI/AAAAAAAAErg/AI5SR9EvtwI/s1600-h/030612%252520004%25255B2%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="030612 004" border="0" alt="030612 004" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-VueupK-3WBA/T1bd_WAZj8I/AAAAAAAAEro/KzAGRzjZ4PM/030612%252520004_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>I also washed Ely's tub. We like to color with bath crayons and it was definitely time to wash it all off.</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-smcMXjN_rfA/T1bd_6JEaSI/AAAAAAAAErw/w7iAhVGbjDU/s1600-h/030612%252520005%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="030612 005" border="0" alt="030612 005" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-T0hmvSXea7I/T1beAWyolrI/AAAAAAAAEr4/Gn3xBcGiEEc/030612%252520005_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Ta daaa!</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-HZAQA1a7m6M/T1beA9RkE6I/AAAAAAAAEsA/w34HmOilpa8/s1600-h/030612%252520008%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="030612 008" border="0" alt="030612 008" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-Qn-Jq6kUYeQ/T1beBP7bGYI/AAAAAAAAEsI/fidibcUchiA/030612%252520008_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Today was Day 65 and after a torturous dental cleaning I managed to at least clean Ely's toilet bowl. I don’t have pictures but once again I love, love, love my BioKleen toilet bowl cleaner!!!!!</p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-49517403116697587502012-03-04T19:16:00.001-08:002012-03-04T19:16:30.953-08:00Day 62: Laundry room love<p>Saturday I spent considerable time wiping down the washer and dryer because somehow they were covered with laundry soap, lint and weird litter. Then I decided to clean the flimsy and filthy mini blinds. Yucky! </p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-zjI9b8z9nhM/T1Qv9CsB4mI/AAAAAAAAErA/0Cn7IbLPa_U/s1600-h/030412%252520025%25255B2%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="030412 025" border="0" alt="030412 025" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-45leGb8cqks/T1Qv-2XRUcI/AAAAAAAAErI/7ZEOVbH-Ybw/030412%252520025_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>You may not know it, but this here is my laundry room organized!! I think JW put Ely down to bed so I cleaned up after dinner. </p> <p>Day 58 I swept the back door entry.</p> <p>Day 59 was my most ambitious cleaning day. JW put Ely down to bed so it was my turn to do the dishes and boy, were there dishes! After I left the kitchen sparkling I got my week long wish to mop my floors! I had swept the kitchen almost daily hoping to find the time and strength to mop but kept getting sidetracked. With the kitchen all to myself I finally found the time. I swept and mopped the kitchen, the living room and a sticky patch in Ely's playroom. Once JW got downstairs and saw me he asked if I wanted him to move the couch so I could sweep behind it. I was not even offended. I swept up a big pile of dust and even mopped off some sticky spots. Why in the world would there be sticky spots back there??</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-ybSPPhIL-Mc/T1GXvtlgl3I/AAAAAAAAEpc/Do2DwsaokEg/s1600-h/022912%252520009%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="022912 009" border="0" alt="022912 009" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-BDdHeKcCAIA/T1GXwFe0HZI/AAAAAAAAEpk/PFxLw6BOryQ/022912%252520009_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="386" height="574"></a></p> <p>Day 60 was another cleaning up the kitchen after dinner day because JW was out, not very interesting…</p> <p>Today was Day 61 and my cleaning motivation was really suffering. I think I miss my Idiot Cleaning book. I had to return it to the library and my life just hasn’t been the same since. I literally had to ask God for the motivation and energy because I just didn’t have it. This was 4 o clock in the afternoon people! Finally around 6p I got dinner ready for Ely and JW then isolated myself in the playroom. Also know as the bane of my existence. This is why. There are too many toys out of place and no designated place for nearly all the toys. Again I prayed because I am not good at organizing chaos. I can handle putting things back where they go but NOT deciding where they should go.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-WN7hhwUuUCQ/T1GXw352PpI/AAAAAAAAEpo/djmWYC_cdE4/s1600-h/030212%252520003%25255B2%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="030212 003" border="0" alt="030212 003" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-5EvsvLQV5_Q/T1GXxPYq-EI/AAAAAAAAEp0/J3AiADL7MM8/030212%252520003_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Notice the baby dolls being put to bed on the floor. How sad!</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-xYxRzNzkwXM/T1GXx8U1lCI/AAAAAAAAEp8/aaw8lXYrtIs/s1600-h/030212%252520004%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="030212 004" border="0" alt="030212 004" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-a_xWTstqJ1Y/T1GXyFQNb8I/AAAAAAAAEqE/MNlvxDKS9hQ/030212%252520004_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>I got this great toy storage shelf thing a long time ago but as you can I have never figured out how to store toys in it! It is a disaster. </p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-2UBOgvetCmM/T1GXypIYv0I/AAAAAAAAEqM/fscejK-7Dug/s1600-h/030212%252520005%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="030212 005" border="0" alt="030212 005" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-BisdZyy4cKU/T1GXzENjiuI/AAAAAAAAEqU/x5ElpXC8IuE/030212%252520005_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Here is what I came up with. I took out a laundry basket full of toys out of the playroom to store away. Then I put 4 of Ely's many baby dolls and gave them all their own little bed and blanket. Next, I made a Yo Gabba Gabba box, a Unifix cube box, a mini Disney Princess box, a purse accessory box, a musical instrument box, a purses box and a crown and dress up box. I am missing a box so I need to clean it and put it back. It is an act of the Holy Spirit for me to have accomplished this level of organization. Thank you Holy Spirit! Afterwards Ely and I played with the Princesses and practiced putting them back in their place.</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-DkK-gg-TVTg/T1GXzqrO9FI/AAAAAAAAEqc/zSlb0YUhkSU/s1600-h/030212%252520016%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="030212 016" border="0" alt="030212 016" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-sG20wMKF59I/T1GX0A_EfeI/AAAAAAAAEqk/xideXc96Gr0/030212%252520016_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="472" height="702"></a></p> <p>Look at the table!! So free of clutter! I even wiped down the slide because it was a bit smudgy. Tomorrow I am going to spot sweep the room.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-JdjNFD0Lvro/T1GX0jwIvBI/AAAAAAAAEqs/FMRNYrXz68k/s1600-h/030212%252520014%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="030212 014" border="0" alt="030212 014" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-CpWB4h-yLKY/T1GX1GnFi9I/AAAAAAAAEq0/KAvq3g3xzqM/030212%252520014_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-12886857422532773702012-02-26T14:14:00.001-08:002012-02-26T14:14:00.388-08:00Day 54, 55 & 56: Blah, boring, blah<p>Unfortunately another boring post. I have had hurried and uneventful cleaning, waaaa! Day 54 I washed our kitchen seat cushions and cleaned up after dinner because JW was out. Day 55 I wiped some counters down and today Day 56 is not over but I woke up very early and swept the kitchen, cleaned our dining tables, rearranged Ely's red dining table, unloaded the dishwasher and cleaned up after making waffles….all before 8am. And now I am on my way to strip our beds to wash the sheets! Oh and I cleaned the potty in Sunday school about 5 times. Whew! I hope this coming week I will finally make time to mop my kitchen floors!!! And do some thrilling cleaning for a change <img style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" alt="Smile" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-yPlZ2wJmPos/T0qup75ASDI/AAAAAAAAEpU/F1JGBfAX09s/wlEmoticon-smile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800"></p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-39439052503708438182012-02-24T07:09:00.001-08:002012-02-24T07:09:21.779-08:00Day 53: Kitchen sweep<p>I know this is totally boring but perseverance often is super extremely boring and annoying. I had a full day that began at exactly 5 am, praise God for that! Wouldn’t you think that waking up at 5am would give me lots of cleaning time?? Nope. I worked out early, got Ely ready for Bible study then JW and I had a date to go to Winter Jam. When we got home (way after my new bedtime) I swept the kitchen. Isn't that so faithful? I have wanted to mop my floors since Monday but have been prevented…so I swept again in hopes of mopping on Day 54. I will just have to wait and see.</p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-56975996385777072062012-02-22T18:05:00.001-08:002012-02-22T18:05:50.207-08:00Day 52: Patio, part 2 and then some<p>So this morning when I stepped outside to see our patio, it was littered in leaves again! Ha! Oh well, but look how clean our bubble bucket is.</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-gt7gUO6ahfo/T0We4PhfTyI/AAAAAAAAEns/5SPIlnENiDM/s1600-h/022212%252520007%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="022212 007" border="0" alt="022212 007" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-fth2kcr3waQ/T0We4sBrYaI/AAAAAAAAEn0/VVd_gtWVSw0/022212%252520007_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="503" height="339"></a></p> <p>The stroller is totally baby doll worthy now. (Though not a great picture)</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-ybkLBZkG8rA/T0We5BLIZ7I/AAAAAAAAEn8/9sq9K76uAwg/s1600-h/022212%252520022%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="022212 022" border="0" alt="022212 022" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-WB-RBVi1CjM/T0We5t5hq0I/AAAAAAAAEoE/p06-tkYbuqs/022212%252520022_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="396" height="589"></a></p> <p>I had some help with the picnic table from Ely and her girlfriend Coco. Little girls cannot resist cleaning!</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-ve7UydLmT7w/T0We6CFXUcI/AAAAAAAAEoM/BabIlzbjE3k/s1600-h/022212%252520023%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="022212 023" border="0" alt="022212 023" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-NcpFme8fW_8/T0We6m5MbSI/AAAAAAAAEoU/972zXX616Qo/022212%252520023_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>I also gave some considerable TLC to our window seats. My window seats were previously extremely cluttered with all my teaching materials for Ely's alphabet lessons. I sorted, chunked and organized it all. What you see here are highly organized and streamlined window seats. Really. Seriously. This is neat. It's my downstairs home office <img style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" alt="Smile" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-G35faiI9L2U/T0We69CPJXI/AAAAAAAAEoc/b05dlZFEMeY/wlEmoticon-smile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800"> </p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-PVcmgshVU8w/T0We7pJLz2I/AAAAAAAAEok/XATE9a6XPbA/s1600-h/022212%252520025%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="022212 025" border="0" alt="022212 025" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-eqhwTaX1OAg/T0We8T1D3bI/AAAAAAAAEos/0sowpsaDLjw/022212%252520025_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Count the bags on this seat…yeah baby, just one!!</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-TDhOU6otaw4/T0We80vU_cI/AAAAAAAAEo0/g1_kNi6SB0Y/s1600-h/022212%252520026%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="022212 026" border="0" alt="022212 026" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-4K9c3jWJ29k/T0We-rdNQ7I/AAAAAAAAEo8/tIrk_FoFPsQ/022212%252520026_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>And perhaps my proudest DEcluttering today, I got a 3 drawer mobile organizer for the crazy overflow from Ely's educational materials. Praise the Lord! With weather like this, it is a sin to stay indoors. Ely and I were playing when I noticed how gross all her outdoor toys are. The patio was also in poor shape, littered with leaves and sand. And the furniture arrangement…a tragedy. The weather motivated me to clean but also the fact that we have 2 gorgeous girlies coming over tomorrow and they happen to love playing with Ely outside!! Who can play in such filth? Well actually they totally can but I need to clean!!</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-iCbALIBe8uA/T0RvTcpT-DI/AAAAAAAAElw/5Pl3N2vF0Ac/s1600-h/022112%252520001%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="022112 001" border="0" alt="022112 001" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-_nLxWnaeTTI/T0RvUNU5Q9I/AAAAAAAAEl4/RNBhTXBnnTE/022112%252520001_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="565" height="381"></a></p> <p>Ely was trying to blow bubbles with her non spill bubble bucket we bought last summer but it wasn’t working. I was disgusted when I opened it and found a mysterious mixture of brown rain water and bubble solution. Eeeeeww! Tomorrow it will be as clean as new. I immediately dumped out the brown water but you can see a little grime on the blue bucket base. </p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-6Hx-3S6Gc1g/T0RvUjBnsFI/AAAAAAAAEmA/4jzjdxZQBwE/s1600-h/022112%252520002%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="022112 002" border="0" alt="022112 002" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-Z_yPdKcVouY/T0RvWdVEhJI/AAAAAAAAEmI/HndsFv0EgMo/022112%252520002_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="567" height="382"></a></p> <p>The concrete pad I call a patio was covered in leaves and sand. I fasted from food all day so I struggled all day with fatigue and low blood sugar. So early in the day at Sunday school I made sure to be the one to sweep and wipe the bathroom down after class was out. Isn't that convenient? I also cleaned my heart out to God during my fast <img style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" alt="Smile" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-hXfh15sa7bw/T0Mb0AUAlvI/AAAAAAAAElY/j2UoBo2knEg/wlEmoticon-smile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800"></p> <p>Day 51: If yesterday I fasted, today I gorged. I really ate too much food, bleh. I ate and and ate just out of compulsion! Worse yet, I made a really yummy corn salsa and accidentally put 6 cloves of raw garlic in it! I ate a lot of it then realized that eating that much raw garlic feels like pouring cement into my stomach. Part of why I ate too much is because I kept trying to eat something to get rid of the awful taste on my tongue. Nothing works, not Jello, not chocolate, not dinner, not ice cream, not even brushing.</p> <p> I felt yucky all day and did not feel like making a big cleaning production. Fortunately JW asked for a night off of cleaning up the kitchen so once again, saved by Provision. I cleaned everything up and had a scraping session with the stovetop. I used a kitchen knife (don’t try this at home) because JW forgot to buy me a razor at Home Depot. He is not happy with me for using our kitchen knife to clean. Maybe now he will remember to buy my razor. Our kitchen is sparkly…until morning. Tomorrow I will read my Idiot book for inspiration because yet again it has left me high and dry.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-IYGDvl_G628/T0Mb0fELq2I/AAAAAAAAElg/vmZy3zZf_qI/s1600-h/022012%252520003%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="022012 003" border="0" alt="022012 003" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-a-ixZbKwwr0/T0Mb1E8i6BI/AAAAAAAAElo/Bx4KlLApJpI/022012%252520003_thumb%25255B6%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="419" height="383"></a></p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-21401052876453759132012-02-17T20:59:00.001-08:002012-02-17T20:59:32.365-08:00Day 48: Closet Purification<p>Yesterday I needed a fresh dose of motivation for my cleaning craze, so I read my Idiot book. There is a page that offered some tips on cleaning out a clothing closet. My closet is sometimes my prayer refuge and other times my dirty laundry disposal. It is out of control. And if it is messy, I do not feel like praying in there AND I never know what to wear!! Both situations are unacceptable to my life. Here is a before picture.</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-bMZ7csPnBlQ/Tz8wCKudYmI/AAAAAAAAEjY/I-PFR6_YbxM/s1600-h/021712-0023.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021712 002" border="0" alt="021712 002" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-sXiqdWbA9cY/Tz8wCo25t5I/AAAAAAAAEjg/I687333TVgI/021712-002_thumb1.jpg?imgmax=800" width="385" height="572"></a></p> <p>The book recommends taking EVERYTHING out of your closet. I am an extreme kind of girl so that sounded like a fabulous idea. It was important for me to start this project early in the day so that I had all day to work through the piles. I didn’t want JW to come home to the disaster but it happened anyway. I took all the clothes out on this back wall and here is the bare result. Once it was empty I vacuumed and…drumroll please…cleaned the baseboards. I love cleaning baseboards. Does that make me weird?</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-jH8P1Z7rEWs/Tz8wEeNLaFI/AAAAAAAAEjo/YQRc9NPbVVs/s1600-h/021712-0044.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021712 004" border="0" alt="021712 004" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-Zk7phkFyJ9k/Tz8wEyDE3XI/AAAAAAAAEjs/YaXpsM2iNps/021712-004_thumb1.jpg?imgmax=800" width="385" height="572"></a></p> <p>Here are the piles. Both my Quinceañera dress an my wedding dress are among the rubble. </p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-mdW97FrtnbQ/Tz8wF5gkjLI/AAAAAAAAEj4/1Wzf_4nzTQ4/s1600-h/021712-0083.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021712 008" border="0" alt="021712 008" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-UWau18kCArk/Tz8wGZcdshI/AAAAAAAAEkA/ES4CErRWIqM/021712-008_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Because I have become a Dust Hater, I sprayed a rag with all purpose cleaner and cleaned my shelf.</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-YeZm4tDf_E0/Tz8wIGBqsTI/AAAAAAAAEkI/YLTu137-X4s/s1600-h/021712-0093.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021712 009" border="0" alt="021712 009" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-YYnv7ef2rqk/Tz8wITEwpoI/AAAAAAAAEkQ/QRu0TeQzdAg/021712-009_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>The book recommended sorting everything in your closet in 3 piles: Keep, Toss and Give Away. I skipped the Toss pile and gathered about 40 garments to give to Goodwill. The author also recommended sorting clothes according to use. For example, office clothes, work out clothes, etc. But I am obsessed with rainbows….</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-WwkzfHrTkR0/Tz8wJKvWmLI/AAAAAAAAEkY/3_juEWIXt3U/s1600-h/021712-0164.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021712 016" border="0" alt="021712 016" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-bzUBhVyueFA/Tz8wJzEFCdI/AAAAAAAAEkg/S1EsZSybCsE/021712-016_thumb6.jpg?imgmax=800" width="469" height="342"></a></p> <p>The author also recommended tossing out your shoe boxes and getting a shoe rack so shoes can dry more thoroughly. This step is hard for me because I love collecting and repurposing boxes but I cannot hoard 10 shoe boxes! But fortunately I have a 3 tier shelf inside my closet that I was previously using for miscellaneous things. It is now my shoe rack/t shirt shelf. Notice all the empty hangers above! Just last week I was frustrated because I had run out of hangers, now my cup runneth over!</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-eHchRK6YsKk/Tz8wKeVnZOI/AAAAAAAAEko/2xEEp3SfWoc/s1600-h/021712-0254.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021712 025" border="0" alt="021712 025" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-v-pNmAs8oeM/Tz8wK182ZVI/AAAAAAAAEkw/vgdvutTuWks/021712-025_thumb1.jpg?imgmax=800" width="444" height="660"></a></p> <p>I even found room for towel storage and purses with those bulky shoe boxes out of there. Don’t worry they will get recycled <img style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" alt="Smile" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-glpZEgekqfo/Tz8wLXbdN8I/AAAAAAAAEk4/zqMlaLtm1E8/wlEmoticon-smile2.png?imgmax=800">.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-AZU8hoKN0L8/Tz8wL_40qII/AAAAAAAAElA/Osg-7x2MSk8/s1600-h/021712-0244.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021712 024" border="0" alt="021712 024" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-E2_F7WunMKQ/Tz8wMqf65AI/AAAAAAAAElI/cWLdu5ig47c/021712-024_thumb1.jpg?imgmax=800" width="444" height="660"></a></p> <p>I am very excited about my now gorgeous closet. Now that I have a better idea of what clothes I have (and where they are) I am going to spend some time tomorrow putting outfits together so I don’t fret every time I have to get dressed. Fun!</p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-22393530166195970872012-02-17T20:58:00.001-08:002012-02-17T20:58:18.115-08:00Day 47: New cleaner!<p>Isn't it cute? It smells lovely. It is made with grapefruit seed and orange peel and I got it because it was the first orange cleaner that didn’t contain limonene, which may be toxic. I sprayed my shower stall with it, let it sit for about 10 minutes then scrubbed it off with water. I think it did a pretty good job. I want to clean our bathroom counters with it too but had no time today because Ely and I were blessed with some company by Frances, Baby Z and Hattie. Ely didn’t know her grandmother would be stopping by for a visit. I have never seen that child so happy.</p> <p><img src="http://www.luckyvitamin.com/images/product/xlarge/73958.jpg" width="138" height="463"></p> <p>Since my baby friend Zachary was crawling all over the kitchen floor, I went ahead and swept it. Babies are great at pointing out where the dirty spots are! Not the most ambitious cleaning day but we had a great afternoon with Frances & Hattie. Especially since Frances and her hubby helped me figure out how to use my laptop as a phone!</p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-7607529419457209942012-02-16T07:10:00.001-08:002012-02-16T07:10:30.796-08:00Day 46: Cleaning is often hairy…at least for me.<p>I had started this job last week and today was so nice outside that I finished it and then some. I swept up our back porch.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-o7RrqtND-uA/Tz0cPG7avjI/AAAAAAAAEhs/wmDs54hQD4s/s1600-h/021512%252520004%25255B2%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021512 004" border="0" alt="021512 004" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-lOKRB1rAJuw/Tz0cPQ8DtmI/AAAAAAAAEh0/I0FwQKslVuw/021512%252520004_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>After I shook out our mat I noticed it was coated with a freaky layer of hair. My sink is less clogged so I may do another round of declogging on Day 47. Day 47 I will tackle my shower stall with my new orange cleaner, yay!</p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-37797548668361064712012-02-15T06:14:00.001-08:002012-02-15T06:14:52.705-08:00Day 45: Sewing room love<p>Ever since the big party, my sewing room had been in awful condition. I used my cutting table for the party and had not put it back in its place. The table sits against the windows and I didn’t want to put the table back until I had cleaned the pesky blinds. Yesterday during Ely's nap I finally carved out some time and motivation to get dirty.</p> <p>JW bought me this handy blinds cleaning tool at Home Depot last Sunday, but since my sewing room blinds hadn't been cleaned in…never, I quickly resorted to my sock cleaning method. I think the blinds tool is great for regular cleaning. But if your blinds are dingy like mine were, you need socks! What I liked most about this handy little green tool is that the microfiber cover is machine washable. I had also picked out several other tools but was only allowed to buy this one. <img style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" alt="Smile" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-0846xBZq9j8/Tzu9zP336SI/AAAAAAAAEgw/15owNZ_RP88/wlEmoticon-smile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800"> </p> <p> <a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-aSOM9O88eSk/Tzu9zc0xiII/AAAAAAAAEg4/9kiSfwbFh0w/s1600-h/021512%252520002%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021512 002" border="0" alt="021512 002" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-kuVHDE8c500/Tzu90Bb1iRI/AAAAAAAAEhA/PhEJXACCRoc/021512%252520002_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="396" height="588"></a></p> <p>My sewing room seemed brighter afterwards. I also did a little bit of dusting. My desk/sewing table is so cluttered right now that I have to wait to finish dusting until I can clear it off.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-AjODgzooJuA/Tzu91aLTdcI/AAAAAAAAEhI/AUDfapd5m34/s1600-h/021512%252520001%25255B2%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021512 001" border="0" alt="021512 001" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-3AZb3r2CRhw/Tzu91uvOk7I/AAAAAAAAEhQ/SAIF8YeMV74/021512%252520001_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>If filling up surface area with projects were a sport I would probably compete in the Olympics. After cleaning and setting up my table, I quickly filled it with all my TO DO or rather TO CUT projects. These piles are actually educational materials and not junk, I promise. I had been storing these up (from my teaching days) for the right <em>time. </em>Or rather, I was waiting to have time to cut these materials out. Now I am all set up to sit down and cut in front of the TV when I get some….time. But when I finally do, Ely and I will enjoy playing with them for her alphabet lessons.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-H3puTqD8vns/Tzu92fn_TBI/AAAAAAAAEhY/o7jrPH9tg4I/s1600-h/021512%252520003%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021512 003" border="0" alt="021512 003" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-MnE_zsXfdoo/Tzu9225eN9I/AAAAAAAAEhg/VeyrN3bcwAU/021512%252520003_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-70405656075383565512012-02-13T18:11:00.001-08:002012-02-14T13:46:04.069-08:00Days 43 & 44: Three toilets and biokleen.<p>Day 43 was a bit meager. I was extremely busy and remembered at bedtime that I had not cleaned anything! Then someone (must have been God) reminded me that I did clean the kids’ tables and sweep the floors in Sunday school! Yay! I didn’t clean anything in my house but I did clean something in God’s house. It is a bit of a stretch but remember we are under grace! It was the Sabbath, after all. Today I bought myself a very nerdy Valentine’s Day present.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-OFeQBo0gNWU/TznC4jooPkI/AAAAAAAAEcc/92CjUgHeklE/s1600-h/021312%252520003%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021312 003" border="0" alt="021312 003" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-cAABY3Xjifk/TznC5FdfLoI/AAAAAAAAEck/0UvKpwWKzB4/021312%252520003_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="305" height="453"></a></p> <p>I had been using baking soda and vinegar. But I couldn’t resist a biokleen toilet scrub. I cleaned all 3 of our toilets today and let me just say, this stuff smells good! The scent made me feel like I was in a spa instead of cleaning toilets. I also liked that the instructions said it wasn’t necessary to let the product sit before scrubbing. My new toilet scrub uses natural Volcanic Perlite and Lime Peel Extracts to clean instead of stinky bleach. Loved it!</p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-21270593919707007552012-02-11T18:26:00.001-08:002012-02-11T18:26:25.086-08:00Days 41 & 42: Dust bunnies are nasty.<p>Day 41 was even more boring than Day 40. I cleaned the 3rd shelf in the fridge. Whoop-dee-doo. Today however was very exciting. If exciting for you means, getting dirty. During my quiet time I became inspired by something I read in Exodus about Aaron and decided to hang up Scripture in the living room. Strategically behind the television, to be precise. </p> <p>Anyhow, in order to tape the verses I had to move the TV. And you can guess what happened next. Here is the discovery part of my process. The discovery of dust full-grown rabbits. Yuck.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-O_dR1dT8fwQ/TzcjPZjyC-I/AAAAAAAAEbU/0c9Tu5UZKmE/s1600-h/021112%252520002%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021112 002" border="0" alt="021112 002" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-yNl30XD442Q/TzcjP1XlBQI/AAAAAAAAEbc/1vvS-SKlKzM/021112%252520002_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="457" height="316"></a></p> <p>Warning: the following images are not suitable for germophobes or OCD clean freaks.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-VQ115f3RwnU/TzcjQWpGnYI/AAAAAAAAEbk/48UDk7Ew2JM/s1600-h/021112%252520003%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021112 003" border="0" alt="021112 003" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-4DLyf4RsesU/TzcjQihlpyI/AAAAAAAAEbs/jJPUvqMT2Vc/021112%252520003_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="460" height="310"></a></p> <p>I know this is all very graphic but this is a cleaning blog after all.</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-oNuk2icL6pI/TzcjRbWYFJI/AAAAAAAAEb0/m0Rp5GJEdXc/s1600-h/021112%252520005%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021112 005" border="0" alt="021112 005" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-VuZhUGYW9Fk/TzcjRjqegFI/AAAAAAAAEb8/f-6K3bgGo7o/021112%252520005_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="467" height="315"></a></p> <p>This is our Jungle of Cables. I vacuumed the Dust Monsters up then wiped all surfaces down with all purpose cleaner. I cleaned the entirety of the entertainment system. The TV, the Play Station, the stereo, speakers, everything! Then I tried a tip from Readers Digest. Afterwards, I wiped everything down with a used dryer sheet. Readers Digest claimed this helps prevent dust accumulation. We will see about that. </p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-uQCf_PjlnR8/TzcjTKKsL3I/AAAAAAAAEcE/ES9Nz_d52ak/s1600-h/021112%252520004%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="021112 004" border="0" alt="021112 004" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-59KwKwGp6Vw/TzcjTsLAP5I/AAAAAAAAEcM/xQiEQMy01ZI/021112%252520004_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="475" height="320"></a></p> <p>And now I leave you with an encouraging verse I heard at Bible study this week. </p> <blockquote> <p align="center"><font color="#0000ff"> These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to take care of their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. I barely remember it….oh yes! Ely and I got to go to Lakeshore for educational toy shopping! We were there for hours. The teacher inside of me wished for a million dollars to buy everything but the mom in me realized that would never buy me the time to teach Ely everything I want to teach her. So we came home with magnetic letters & numbers and Unifix cubes!!! After Christmas and her birthday bonanza it is time to settle down once again and resume our Alphabet Lessons. All this to explain why I am very pressed for time this week and why I have been cleaning like a miser. Day 38 I cleaned the stovetop. It had not been cleaned since JW caramelized 8 whole onions for the party! I don’t have a picture because my camera was being snotty but today it finally took pictures for me. Here is what I cleaned today (Day 39). The top shelf of my fridge. Yup, just the top shelf.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-k3k_JYHPhnI/TzMUiPwYUKI/AAAAAAAAETQ/uAdrIOaAoPg/s1600-h/020812%252520001%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020812 001" border="0" alt="020812 001" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-fdRRKCjQc5k/TzMUiqgM59I/AAAAAAAAETY/SAer-6lmEQw/020812%252520001_thumb%25255B2%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="479" height="323"></a></p> <p>Because I am nerdy, I looked in my Idiot book to see how the author recommends cleaning the fridge. During the party planning period I enjoyed many late nights, but now that the party has come and gone I am loving myself by going to bed earlier. Monday keeps turning into laundry day so today I washed our sheets (Ely's sheets got washed Saturday), towels, cleaning rags (yay!), kitchen towels and my dainties. Then when Ely woke up I stormed her bedroom with her morning mango juice and all purpose cleaner. Her room was a bit dusty, though not the blinds or windows since they were recently cleaned, and messy. Here is her nightstand/dresser…a bit disorderly.</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-m1LbV9UES0c/TzCtym8j9iI/AAAAAAAAEQ4/G9Z305UTTX8/s1600-h/020612%252520010%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020612 010" border="0" alt="020612 010" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-KanG6cPMHVc/TzCty_j6j0I/AAAAAAAAERA/jyrUlXFrSrw/020612%252520010_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="509" height="343"></a></p> <p>Mirroring is not always a bad thing. Here is Ely cleaning her piano while I clean her bookshelf.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-5wLvwof5Tco/TzCtzhA5zwI/AAAAAAAAERI/l4WSV-CRXsQ/s1600-h/020612%252520016%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020612 016" border="0" alt="020612 016" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-rIZ2xrLurD0/TzCt0Cp0oZI/AAAAAAAAERQ/553P84QfQrM/020612%252520016_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="503" height="339"></a></p> <p>Here she is cleaning her dresser fervently while I continue to clean her bookshelf. I keep telling her that princesses have clean homes. LOL! So what if they also have paid cleaning ladies and I am neither?</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-irglrU-yW3E/TzCt0iON42I/AAAAAAAAERY/6QY3XwbSSv0/s1600-h/020612%252520017%25255B6%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020612 017" border="0" alt="020612 017" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-vGXTSlKaGyM/TzCt1WyfeWI/AAAAAAAAERg/Q-oXXuco0Ac/020612%252520017_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="379" height="563"></a></p> <p>This is a <em>before</em> shot of her dirty and disorganized bookshelf.</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-qtDISqNNcHI/TzCt3NfcBJI/AAAAAAAAERo/RX7d51htMkY/s1600-h/020612%252520009%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020612 009" border="0" alt="020612 009" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-Pb00hDgQRng/TzCt3i7vZUI/AAAAAAAAER0/wzLRj3VFEs4/020612%252520009_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="390" height="579"></a></p> <p>I emptied all her storage boxes because somehow they get hair and random lint in them. At least the mud was dry. </p> <p>I am not sure what I will clean tomorrow but it is nice to start the week with clean laundry. I have been pretending the refrigerator doesn’t need to be cleaned for….all this year. Sigh. I may get motivated enough this week….I do not enjoy cleaning the refrigerator. </p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-13517114443651026622012-02-05T18:49:00.001-08:002012-02-05T18:50:19.543-08:00Day 36: Purpose Driven Cleaning<p>Today is not Super Bowl Sunday for me. It is <em>the day after Ely turned 3.</em> We went to church groggy and late. Afterwards Ely and I had a frozen picnic at our favorite park. I had promised her Friday I would take her after church but unfortunately it was 30 degrees colder than Friday! At least she ate her lunch cuddled up in my lap. One of her favorite birthday presents was a tiny Ariel doll that likes to swim in water (Thanks Kelsie & Kevin). Last night Ely's sink was Ariel's ocean and today she wanted the guest bath sink to be Ariel's ocean so of course it was time to clean it! Here is the Big 3 year old waiting patiently.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-BnlWcbe4JZ0/Ty8_otC9MGI/AAAAAAAAEOc/SW98HC7UUeA/s1600-h/020512-0023.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020512 002" border="0" alt="020512 002" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-9ALa4-0w4sI/Ty8_pDo92hI/AAAAAAAAEOk/iNI8pDrgUa4/020512-002_thumb1.jpg?imgmax=800" width="491" height="331"></a> </p> <p>I sprayed my bath tub solution (mild laundry detergent and water) in the sink, then sprinkled Borax.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-NyMm_X4E5mI/Ty8_psEZCRI/AAAAAAAAEOs/nSczriBDN8k/s1600-h/020512-0033.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020512 003" border="0" alt="020512 003" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-ZfWQkTm6uD0/Ty8_p7KNMbI/AAAAAAAAEO0/smDsZ3qwoPM/020512-003_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Here is a very happy Ely.</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-IbJ7hr92k50/Ty8_qZqQmAI/AAAAAAAAEO8/fOY4Fci_MMI/s1600-h/020512-0053.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020512 005" border="0" alt="020512 005" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-0SgbrPEbrMM/Ty8_q-ldNkI/AAAAAAAAEPE/450KAs2nwJY/020512-005_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Ariel was pleased too.</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-ugWJtG5JLlQ/Ty8_rNXexcI/AAAAAAAAEPM/ZH8P30bkbF8/s1600-h/020512-0083.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020512 008" border="0" alt="020512 008" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-8EBEX-f6hws/Ty8_rZXMWhI/AAAAAAAAEPU/FdCbu4xQbnA/020512-008_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>And while I was in there I went ahead and cleaned the top of the toilet, the trash can, swept the floor, wiped down the baseboards and cleaned behind and inside the toilet bowl!</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-OL_pO3mtlhI/Ty8_r42YDRI/AAAAAAAAEPc/u3zX39kJFJM/s1600-h/020512-0093.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020512 009" border="0" alt="020512 009" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-rdNqdHm-Szk/Ty8_sT3sWXI/AAAAAAAAEPk/Qwlae8xcUnA/020512-009_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Here is the fizzy action caused by the baking soda and vinegar in the toilet bow. I DID NOT CLEAN A SINGLE THING! Until 12:50am that is. At 12:50am, I cleaned a kitchen counter so I could put party stuff on it! By then, it was no longer technically Day 34 but I will give myself grace for the day!</p> <p>Day 35 was like a race. A race against time to get as much accomplished before 11am. I needed to dust the living room but I only got to the tables and neglected the bookshelf. Then I noticed the floor below our little accent table, aka, Dust Bunny Colony, was once again littered with filth! So I ran for the Dust Buster and sucked up as many as I could before guests arrived. By 11am I was sweating profusely (thanks a lot sweat glands) and trying to get some make up on my face as well as tease my hair.</p> <p>Here is a great shot of us right before we (sadly) cut the gorgeous cake my friend Gina made.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-gQ5QUOpYVbg/Ty4A75p5vEI/AAAAAAAAENs/lfhBPj13WSs/s1600-h/020412%252520172%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020412 172" border="0" alt="020412 172" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-TTOsJaLxPI8/Ty4A8M2iCII/AAAAAAAAENw/EHQ39wHk484/020412%252520172_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="600" height="454"></a></p> <p>And since I mentioned the gorgeous cake, I suppose I should show it! Isn't it great?</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-bmNUMhfIc0Y/Ty4A8jikSUI/AAAAAAAAEN4/vtPd7xk2Zag/s1600-h/020412%252520149%25255B8%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020412 149" border="0" alt="020412 149" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-CXlT-p2JulE/Ty4A_1f0_qI/AAAAAAAAEOE/UJpcqfL8CWA/020412%252520149_thumb%25255B2%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="600" height="387"></a></p> <p>My mom & sister in law were very to sweet to host a cleaning after party for us! My mom was doing a great job of helping until she started to take decorations down!! I nearly cried! When I spend this much time and energy making and hanging decorations….they are going to stay up until JW gets sick of them. My mom and sis in law did so much putting away of things while I took a break, yay! But I had to draw the line at sweeping. My mom was sweet to offer but I insisted she let me and I had to be honest. I love to sweep. Great day!</p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-44204230949273246502012-02-02T18:53:00.001-08:002012-02-03T07:42:06.542-08:00Day 33: Surprisingly clean day<p> </p> <p>I should go ahead and say that there will be no pictures today. Boo hoo!!! My camera has been charging ever since it wouldn’t take pictures for me. It does that when the battery is low. Baby Zachary came to play today and he was most helpful in pointing out the dustiest areas! He is a great crawler and was very drawn to our internet router below the TV and the oven drawer in the kitchen. I immediately ran for the all purpose cleaner and towel. Of course he wanted the cleaner! </p> <p>In preparation for Saturdays big party, I also swept and mopped the kitchen and dining room. I also asked JW to vacuum, apparently I was being bossy about it. Nevertheless, our party cleaning is coming along. Tomorrow is the last day for planning and preparing. Yikes. I hope to sweep and mop the living room and prune the playroom of toys. I also need to hide the multitude of clutter on our kitchen counter. In addition to finishing the goody bags, making rainbow Jell-O, blowing up balloons, putting finishing touches on unfinished decoration projects and finally determining which projects I can finish and which I have to give up on. Please pray the LORD gives me a supernatural concept of time for the next 48 hours! Not. Joking.</p> <p>I do have one picture to show from my phone. Eliana took this while I gave her a Birthday Princess Rainbow Pedicure. Don’t her toes look yummy? There I said it. I have a baby toe fetish.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-wOcEiR9VxWk/TywASsdICgI/AAAAAAAAENc/XWaAB614W4E/s1600-h/2012-02-02%25252017.54.39%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="2012-02-02 17.54.39" border="0" alt="2012-02-02 17.54.39" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-r0-dYGXtXo8/TywATICrc9I/AAAAAAAAENk/tLPH-sSuq-4/2012-02-02%25252017.54.39_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="559" height="421"></a></p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-57417962319094502612012-02-01T21:46:00.001-08:002012-02-01T21:46:15.660-08:00Day 32: Finish, my mantra for the week.<p>After I laid Ely down for her nap, I made myself dizzy cleaning, decluttering and tidying as much as I could possibly do before she woke up. Here is a before picture of Party Central. It is now back to regular old Dining Room. But soon will become Party Room for one day.</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-T7yiNChRy8U/Tyoi_Yu2fnI/AAAAAAAAEKA/JE7uGxBKWZU/s1600-h/020112%252520068%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020112 068" border="0" alt="020112 068" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-ZlavsRmLUog/Tyoi_m1zGbI/AAAAAAAAEKI/YQHTW9pxOWM/020112%252520068_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="537" height="362"></a></p> <p>Here is my workspace. I just remembered I forgot to take an after picture!!! Grrrr! Please close your eyes and imagine this table empty and clean with placemats on it! I sorted all my materials and took 95% of my party planning things upstairs to the sewing room.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-viUijbOBZCQ/TyojABWVodI/AAAAAAAAEKQ/JkreOwz7wx4/s1600-h/020112%252520070%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020112 070" border="0" alt="020112 070" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-kiDL4skw3GM/TyojAj1RdaI/AAAAAAAAEKY/S8ckZEJmtnA/020112%252520070_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="534" height="360"></a></p> <p>Then I gave some much needed love to the front door, interior..and sideboards. </p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-BPaZaSgn9SE/TyojBMQj7UI/AAAAAAAAEKg/I5oZxULJqXs/s1600-h/020112%252520071%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020112 071" border="0" alt="020112 071" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-dFUcfnuPXCk/TyojBgoKjtI/AAAAAAAAEKo/YcXZaXk9hgI/020112%252520071_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="390" height="580"></a></p> <p>I get a very strange pleasure out of cleaning sideboards!!</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-jjHaEYgNS7c/TyojCO0SnlI/AAAAAAAAEKw/PuSceJEId9U/s1600-h/020112%252520072%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020112 072" border="0" alt="020112 072" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-KBv88-eYhew/TyojCUVPEnI/AAAAAAAAEK4/fnvQgzWxGIM/020112%252520072_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Here is the nastiness I freed the entryway from.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-KMRyYk2R7Xw/TyojCzUKOoI/AAAAAAAAELA/86XUlm46VGE/s1600-h/020112%252520074%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020112 074" border="0" alt="020112 074" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-c_OiVcw8neM/TyojDKhvN6I/AAAAAAAAELI/OJ9kOILxY-4/020112%252520074_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Finally the door was ready for Muno.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-Dv4-eTtkgvg/TyojDnxu9GI/AAAAAAAAELQ/-ObaXM4Suj0/s1600-h/020112%252520075%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020112 075" border="0" alt="020112 075" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-RF52tS-bL7k/TyojD8ADKYI/AAAAAAAAELY/vVlynADVLCA/020112%252520075_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="356" height="529"></a></p> <p>One good door cleaning deserves another. My friend Gina inspired me to make a party dress for Ely earlier this week. I didn’t take a <strong>before</strong> picture of the sewing room but if you see these <strong>after</strong> pictures you can just use your imagination. I promise this is organized for my sewing room. After decluttering, I cleaned the table and the desk because they had gotten so dusty! BUT I have yet to dust the blinds (last blinds in the house….) and vacuum. </p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-grRtNtTqa6o/TyoYtQsoS7I/AAAAAAAAEIc/mDZUkSKdY-o/s1600-h/020112%252520053%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020112 053" border="0" alt="020112 053" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-Vnz9nejQobY/TyoYu0QgDuI/AAAAAAAAEIk/gFqn4KGsl78/020112%252520053_thumb%25255B2%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="578" height="389"></a></p> <p>Making the dress was a 3 part process. Step 1: Go to JoAnn and buy orange fabric. Step 2: Clean the sewing room and finally Step 3: Make the dress! On the left of my desk is evidence of Ely's shenanigans. </p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-suLubMzPmno/TyoYvqbnTpI/AAAAAAAAEIs/xrpvc6Nztz8/s1600-h/020112%252520054%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020112 054" border="0" alt="020112 054" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-zyBn8hcf2I8/TyoYwNMiLNI/AAAAAAAAEI0/mRRxfyAzsIA/020112%252520054_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="579" height="390"></a></p> <p>While I decluttered feverishly, Miss Ely enjoyed all the free space to play in. Since before there was nowhere to walk! Here is Baby Boy getting his breakfast.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-y_Ce6jaC_BA/TyoYwaww6HI/AAAAAAAAEI8/szfb-_2GFiU/s1600-h/020112%252520058%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020112 058" border="0" alt="020112 058" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-Ao33ZYzQzoQ/TyoYxIxm18I/AAAAAAAAEJE/ZDj6EYoFFsI/020112%252520058_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="580" height="391"></a></p> <p>Here is my lovely assistant.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-gGCs33_m90U/TyoYxgW7zsI/AAAAAAAAEJM/yXz547iEq84/s1600-h/020112%252520060%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020112 060" border="0" alt="020112 060" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-h0bVf4Wrn08/TyoYx2C2jGI/AAAAAAAAEJU/fPZE1m8iOUI/020112%252520060_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="590" height="397"></a></p> <p>Here was the end of Step 1. I am quite pleased with results! And considering that Ely just had to wear it for her nap, I have to say she's happy with it too.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-u2c1roT5-E0/Tyoghi7icmI/AAAAAAAAEJw/ATdBidsR50Y/s1600-h/020112%252520066%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="020112 066" border="0" alt="020112 066" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-MJhaYUA3V_o/TyoghzI04xI/AAAAAAAAEJ4/FHOwdzGbb1I/020112%252520066_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="415" height="617"></a></p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-28199372667508222492012-01-30T22:24:00.001-08:002012-01-30T22:24:20.131-08:00Days 27 through 30: I promise I am cleaning!<p>I am sad about my blog neglect as of late. But I have great reasons for my abandonment. Day 27 (Friday) my house was full of 3 gorgeous girls, instead of just 1. And I can assure you I cleaned up after them! It was so fun to have 3 girls! Ely and I started our day with dessert waffles. I am often not very logical so I added mini M&Ms to the waffle batter and this is what happened.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/--IRVX6r5x_Y/TyeJC-3EjvI/AAAAAAAAEHs/YPM9cDBZGfc/s1600-h/012712%252520032%25255B8%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012712 032" border="0" alt="012712 032" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-kmxc4ooJtAo/TyeJDJDni9I/AAAAAAAAEH0/Bb8WhN51zbU/012712%252520032_thumb%25255B4%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="480" height="323"></a></p> <p>If you are interested in how to clean a waffle iron, I used a small ice cream sample (because I am a pack rat) spoon from the yogurt shop and a paper towel with a little bit of EVOO.</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-9SCwE96O2MI/TyeJD7HbhNI/AAAAAAAAEH8/KTpWXi_mF7g/s1600-h/012712%252520033%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012712 033" border="0" alt="012712 033" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-m3JbPKvDys0/TyeJEPgT84I/AAAAAAAAEIE/WjT9QC_wHR0/012712%252520033_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>This is how great it looked after my cleaning job.</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-eKQ1H6E03nQ/TyeJEUOtA0I/AAAAAAAAEIM/8BugI57Y6wY/s1600-h/012712%252520034%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012712 034" border="0" alt="012712 034" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-XzTf0FJQFDg/TyeJE8ry_tI/AAAAAAAAEIU/ZL01bvsTh9g/012712%252520034_thumb%25255B2%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="387" height="575"></a></p> <p>Then Day 28 (Saturday) was JWs birthday. We were barely home. Our friends Kevin& Kelsie babysat for us so we could go out for dinner and when we got home after our date, I hurried to clean my one thing! I don’t have a picture because my camera was acting up but I finished cleaning the other side of the laundry room shelf. Kelsie is my witness that I cleaned it!</p> <p>Day 29 was another very fast day. After church, something unprecedented and monumental happened in our home. JW asked me (and not in a totally cheerful way) to clean up a melted butter spill he found behind the knives holder. This is the life of a Butter Aficionado. Butter melts. It makes a mess. The miracle was that I was sooooo happy he asked me to clean something! Ha ha!! I was relieved that I did not have to think of anything. I wanted to clean the crusty dish drying rack too but I haven't figured out how to separate it from the rack part.</p> <p>Then there is today. We got to spend the day with a very dear friend who normally is at work today, so my priority was not on cleaning. But I did wipe down the treadmill at the gym. And I did help JW clean up the kitchen mess even though it was not my night for dish duty. And the reason the kitchen got to be such a disaster is because I was being JWs helpmate for a change. He had a board meeting and called me during the day to ask if I would make a cake for it! So I made pineapple upside down cupcakes with cherry vanilla whipped cream. </p> <p>I am sad that I haven't been a cleaning maniac lately but this is Ely's birthday <em>week. </em>I am working feverishly to finish decorations and plans so that by Wednesday afternoon I can begin to clean for the party. Tomorrow I am decluttering my sewing room!</p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-10703267029711833162012-01-26T19:23:00.001-08:002012-01-26T19:23:12.779-08:00Day 26: Good Morning! Time to clean!<p>Last night if you recall we emptied out the playroom as much as possible so I could sweep and mop first thing. Genius plan. Not. I have been reading my Read the Bible in a Year Bible first thing in the a.m. for a couple of weeks so it was quite dumb of me to change that up! I still have not read it!!! A song on that later. Here is the play mat my knees love but my cleaning resolution does not. I am anal as I have previously established….So <em>when</em> I clean this mat, I take it apart and <strong>clean </strong>this mat, piece by piece. Not fun but when I finish, rewarding.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-jFqINFnLa-Q/TyIYhDCV_CI/AAAAAAAAEFE/85zNkAvrUss/s1600-h/012612%252520001%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012612 001" border="0" alt="012612 001" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-W3DGMtziUrk/TyIYhmnkZHI/AAAAAAAAEFM/wnS2p_4te1g/012612%252520001_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="498" height="335"></a></p> <p>Here is my morning support team. I love you <a href="http://www.andersonscoffee.com/homeMain.php" target="_blank">Anderson's coffee</a>. I am ashamed at how hazy the top looks. Next month I am buying <em>fat free</em> half and half.</p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-6Di4CEeoA9Q/TyIYh4EgvKI/AAAAAAAAEFU/7ZNRSqADkyc/s1600-h/012612%252520002%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012612 002" border="0" alt="012612 002" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-XxhTGW44gn8/TyIYigwMmUI/AAAAAAAAEFc/DR_xA-YgvJQ/012612%252520002_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Here is a nasty picture of what I swept up on one half of the playroom. What's the red stuff? You may be wondering…Eliana went through a 'chewing the mat and spitting it out' phase. I have now thrown out the shedding play mat tiles, so next time I sweep, no more red rubber debris!</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-vRZllMBg-Ts/TyIYjLZ6Z6I/AAAAAAAAEFk/mtjeiz3VVZM/s1600-h/012612%252520005%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012612 005" border="0" alt="012612 005" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-J0sJMkwwyxA/TyIYjQZL1aI/AAAAAAAAEFo/GNGqRgGy1To/012612%252520005_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>Aaaaaa-leeeeee-luuu-iiiii-aaaaaa! First I left it homeless then I just scooped it up and put it in the trash. I still feel bad about it. I was in a hurry! I shoulda just put it outside. <img style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-sadsmile" alt="Sad smile" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-PycZQpWzUtw/TyIYkZyFVTI/AAAAAAAAEF8/QEPIdc_g80U/wlEmoticon-sadsmile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800"></p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-qjgm4l2nplQ/TyIYk7SVrEI/AAAAAAAAEGE/CSYwnJlk7qg/s1600-h/012612%252520008%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012612 008" border="0" alt="012612 008" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-UFYboi0fNMU/TyIYlNkxvgI/AAAAAAAAEGQ/7cP4-5vn5cg/012612%252520008_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>I didn’t take an after picture yet because even though I have moved some of the furniture and toys back into the play room, it is not done. I will wait until I finish then I will post. And I will end with another nasty sweeping pic. This is from the kitchen. Hello!!!??? I just swept and mopped last week! This is why I need to be sweeping at least every other day. I also vacuumed the living room rug for Baby Zachary's visit! He totally noticed how clean the floors were. </p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-ysPvC-p8pIY/TyIYmEq_ooI/AAAAAAAAEGc/HcPfWSz8lFI/s1600-h/012612%252520020%25255B7%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012612 020" border="0" alt="012612 020" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/--L7q6tPxSSo/TyIYm1_5x_I/AAAAAAAAEGo/GIiOnY7tJ5E/012612%252520020_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="488" height="329"></a></p> <p>And here is the aforementioned song of lament:</p> <p><em>I didn’t read my Bible this morning</em></p> <p><em>I am sad about it but it’s OK</em></p> <p><em>Even though I didn’t read my Bible</em></p> <p><em>I know Jesus loves me anyway</em></p> <p><em>When I read my Bible, I will feel so happy</em></p> <p><em>I will feel the Spirit move in me!</em></p> <p>And that dear friends is the pinnacle of my song writing abilities. Singing it really does make me go read my Bible. Especially if Ely tries to sing it.</p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139398524744266605.post-54818267760370025322012-01-25T21:38:00.001-08:002012-01-25T21:38:10.699-08:00Day 25: Windows & A Breakthrough!<p>I blew off Yoga today. Then I blew off story time at the library. And we had a nice day of staying home. Ely found the window decorations I bought for her this week and of course she wanted to decorate! But first I had to clean the door again because Missy Moo put her paws all over it since I last cleaned it. And I needed to get the tape residue off. My old Exacto knife came in handy to scrape off the sticky mess. Here is Ely après mon window cleaning.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-HpwvFUUbS1w/TyDmrmrFGNI/AAAAAAAAECE/mgVyc_-MJOg/s1600-h/012512%252520016%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012512 016" border="0" alt="012512 016" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-mKWtmyQddmI/TyDmsNfdk8I/AAAAAAAAECM/Tbvg_s5yo8g/012512%252520016_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="525" height="354"></a></p> <p>I cleaned the outside too. Ely was talking REALLY LOUD while I was on the other side of the door. Silly girl.</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-Q5hMkQgFKIw/TyDmsTyZEuI/AAAAAAAAECU/f7dzg7vKIVI/s1600-h/012512%252520014%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012512 014" border="0" alt="012512 014" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-JK-Wet6i3jo/TyDmswJnN7I/AAAAAAAAECc/Pte9mgBAJ3g/012512%252520014_thumb%25255B2%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="519" height="350"></a></p> <p>Then I Windexed my sink window so we decorate it too. Then I decided to start decorating for the birthday party…I'm pretty sure I am being overly zealous. But I don’t want to be stressed the week of!</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-_1RDSWjd7Do/TyDmtXPZAqI/AAAAAAAAECk/2O8dZnammXg/s1600-h/012512%252520023%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012512 023" border="0" alt="012512 023" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-vlqVtfGnwpA/TyDmt2opA4I/AAAAAAAAECs/cfRCRToeeJo/012512%252520023_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="510" height="344"></a></p> <p>And here is my breakthrough!!! I am finally tackling the beast that is Ely's playroom. I cleaned the blinds and the window on the right. And I even recruited my photog to help me empty her playroom so I can sweep and mop first thing Thursday morning.</p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-11EIpQwxOp8/TyDmuAZra7I/AAAAAAAAEC0/yYVqLZ0KJRs/s1600-h/012512%252520025%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012512 025" border="0" alt="012512 025" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-V7DYw3uJp44/TyDmuUL7f8I/AAAAAAAAEC8/ZVNN59c3aqQ/012512%252520025_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="506" height="341"></a></p> <p>In retrospect I should have done a <em>before</em> shot of Ely's room before we moved everything out. I will try and remember to take pics as I re-organize it tomorrow. Please note my glamorous cleaning outfit. Sweatpants!</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-a0SizMHQTF4/TyDmvCqoFKI/AAAAAAAAEDE/l-pzLkLZx7s/s1600-h/012512%252520030%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012512 030" border="0" alt="012512 030" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-IlaiMBHlNiY/TyDmvd-1NWI/AAAAAAAAEDI/vB4qteDlwnA/012512%252520030_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="503" height="339"></a></p> <p>Here is the very satisfying (and annoying) work of removing tape residue from the windows. I vow to STOP putting tape on the windows. At the very least I need to stop leaving it on for months!</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-aWFPTUbk-1g/TyDmv4cBjhI/AAAAAAAAEDY/mb8NkdMllEQ/s1600-h/012512%252520031%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="012512 031" border="0" alt="012512 031" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-6okb9zt9-Pw/TyDmwROWmKI/AAAAAAAAEDc/eye08MoUDNo/012512%252520031_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="506" height="341"></a></p> Susyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01389670633840666455noreply@blogger.com0
